About the Springwood Ranch Ride Committee
The Springwood Ranch Ride is a year round activity by a group of volunteers who plan, promote, and work the ride every August. The work begins late winter with meetings to plan the years ride. There is much to be done! There is shopping for the Saddle Package that will be raffled off at the ride. We have to decide on the annual give-away, find a good band, dance instructors, and the list goes on. Sub-committees are formed and projects assigned! Obtaining donations is a huge part of what the committee does. Donations are used as door prizes and financing the ride. Throughout the Spring and Summer the committee works to fine tune all the details! By the time August comes around the Ranch is ready, the wonderful meals have been arranged and we are ready to welcome the 250 riders to the Ranch. The members of the committee are so committed to the ride that they come back year after year to donate their time and energy. They are so dedicated that they even pay their own registration costs.
